Peru: the modernization of buses in Lima is consolidating due to the boost of CNG
In order to preserve the environment in the metropolis, the Empresa de Transportes y Servicios Salvador S.A.C. company delivered ten CNG buses that will cover the route Lima-Villa El Salvador, as part of the Metropolitan Transportation System, once it is implemented.
The incorporation of these innovative units to urban passenger transport was carried out owing to 2.5 million dollars provided by the Caja Metropolitana.
The transaction also included the support of the Corporacion Financiera de Desarrollo SA (Cofide in Spanish) as trustee.
This organization, which capital belongs almost entirely to the Peruvian state, provided funds to Cofigas. This program allows the daily repayment of the loan at the time of loading CNG, through a smart chip, at the refueling stations that are part of the Infogas system.
Peru will be the epicenter of the I Latin American Summit of NGV and Alternative Fuels, and the II ExpoGNV Peru, which will welcome 60 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors from all over the world. For further information, visit www.expongnvperu.com.
