GNV 2009 Madrid: The potential of Peruvian natural gas market
President of the board of directors of the Osinergmin (Public organism that regulates electricity, mining and fuel activity in the country), Alfredo Dammert, will give a speech about the policy that is developed in Peru for GNV. The talk will take place at the International Conference and Exhibition which will be held between the 17th and 19th of June in the Spanish capital.
The senior official of Peru, who confirmed his participation at the GNV 2009 Madrid, will have the opportunity to highlight how his country has become a South American example in the promotion of natural gas vehicles business. The encouragement is evidenced by more than 66,000 vehicles converted to NGV.
The mission of the Osinergmin is not only to regulate, monitor and control -in Peruvian territory- compliance with the laws and techniques related to the activities of subsets of electricity, oil and mining, but also controls the standards relating to the conservation and protection of the environment, real premises of a natural gas vehicle.
From Madrid, the remarkable official Alfred Damert, will invite the public to assist to the I Latin American Summit of NGV and Alternative Fuels, which conclusions and targets will be embodied in the “Declaración Lima 2009”. This event will be held simultaneously with the II ExpoGNV Peru, that will welcome 60 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors from all over the world.
The nation led by Alan García Pérez has shown political and economic commitment to its NGV market, one of the most active in the region.
