The biggest NGV station of Peru stars up

 

The ASSA Gasocentros company invested six million dollars in the complex, which begins operations this Thursday. It occupies an area of 6,500 square meters and is able to attend to 4,000 vehicles per day.

The challenge to build the station for natural gas vehicles in the country are imposing finally in the Lima district of La Victoria.

"The business that began operations on Thursday are able to attend to 4,000 vehicles per day in all types of fuels, of which 70 percent corresponds to NGV and LPG", reported the general manager of the ASSA Gasocentros company, Cahuide Mesones. Read

The businessman explained that the taps are typically between one or two equipments of compressing NGV. However, the new station will be provided with five compressors tailored. "We imported slow loading gas pump for smaller vehicles and fast loading gas pump for public transport units and tankers," he added.

In the future, the firm will try to repeat the experience in other districts of the Peruvian capital, where demand is great. This unprecedented event is a key example of industry development in the country. The more exclusive event of this business will be the I Latin American Summit of  NGV and Alternative Fuels, to be held between the 24th and the 26th of September 2009 in Lima.
